HIGHLANDS CORNED BEEF | The Premium Breed of Corned Beef

No comments:

Corned beef has always been one of the favorite food of our family. Known to be high in protein and very filling, I prefer serving corned beef especially in the morning. There are many brands of corned beef in the market, those who offer high-quality are also expensive. Good thing there’s a new premium corned beef that’s not only superior quality but also affordable.

Recently, a new Premium Breed of Corned Beef was launched at the Blue Leaf, McKinley Hill. The grand launch was witnessed by TV Personalities, Media and Bloggers including me. Present in the said event are the Premium Breed of Exceptional Talents and endorser Jake Cuenca, James Younghusband, Paul Soriano, Luke Landrigan and Angelo Cacciatore.

Angus Beef has been a popular choice in fine dining restaurants and steak houses for its tender meat and rich beef taste. Now, Angus steak lovers will be thrilled to know that their favorite high-quality beef can now be found in a can of Highlands Corned Beef.

DSC08379

During the product launch, I got to taste this new premium Angus Corned Beef. It has long strands and very juicy, taste is good not too salty which could mean that it has no artificial flavors.  At home, I enjoyed eating it with a pita bread or simply hot pandesal with some lettuce and cheese. It’s very filling, best served for breakfast or just anytime of the day.

Highland Corned Beef is the very first corned beef in the market that’s made with Angus Beef. A good beef starts with a good breed and Angus is a premium breed of cattle that gives high-quality beef. It's filled with rich beef taste of Angus and has long and juicy strands without artificial flavors, so expect a natural taste of Angus beef. It is known to be very expensive due to its superior quality and taste. But now we can enjoy the premium taste of Angus Beef without spending a great deal of money. Highlands Corned Beef is available at a reasonable price for only P41.50 per 180g.

Representing the Premium Breed of Exceptional Talents and endorser of Highlands Corned Beef: Jake Cuenca - Versatile in playing different role and who wants every role to be unique and authentic; James Younghusband - the English-Filipino midfielder for the RP National Football teal also known as the “Azkals”; Paul Soriano - A perfectionist and very passionate about his work, he makes sure that the heart of his stories is always told well; Luke Landrigan - the first Filipino to become a part of the Billabong South East Asia Surf Team and he also represents surfing in the Philippines and Angelo Cacciatore, has an extensive knowledge in ballet dancing but his skills are not limited to the genre, as he can perform any type of dance.

My Dole® Banana Morning Motto

5 comments:

What is your favorite motto? – this question reminds me of my grade school and high school days when I used to make and answered slum notes.  I bet, you also made your own personalized slum notes and have more than one motto. I can still remember those years when I wrote down all inspiring and romantic motto.

Aside from the slum notes and diaries, where did you write your favorite motto? Slum notes maybe obsolete and gone but we can still find those cute statements written on our friend’s social networking sites like facebook and twitter.

It’s been more than 20 years the last time I memorized and write down my favorite motto and this time I’m doing it again and guess where I wrote it…

DoleBananaEntry(1)Yes, it’s on a DOLE® Cavendish banana! Why banana? because I have several favorite motto to post and share everyday just like my favorite daily treat – a DOLE® BANANA is always available at convenient stores and supermarkets. That means, there’s no reason we can’t get the daily required vitamins and minerals our body needs.

Dole Bananas are packed with vitamins and minerals needed by our body to fight against daily stresses, illnesses and other nutritional deficiencies. It’s rich in potassium which are vital for heart’s muscle activity. So, if you feel like having a tingling and numbing sensation on muscles of your extremities, go grab a piece of banana. Aside from Potassium, it’s also rich in vitamin C and A which fights against many illnesses and strengthens our immune system. Dehydrated and patients suffering from diarrhea are advised to include banana on their diet (BRAT – Banana, Rice, Apple and Tea).

Aside from the great benefits of a banana, Dole is giving away exciting prizes as Dole® Philippines recently launched Banana Morning Motto contest. It will run from August 5 to September 4, 2011.

So instead of writing your morning motto on a slum notes why not try writing it down on a DOLE® Banana and have a DOLE Banana Morning Motto! Joining is easy and fun, I just joined! Here’s the link to my entry, hope you’ll visit and like it as well.

“What makes this camp different from other camps is that camper can get to hang out with Noel Cabangon and Jay Durias for instance and share a table with them, there’s a lot of interaction. They will surely learn a lot from the mentors and it’s really fun!”

7101 Music Nation is the brainchild of three music aficionados namely its Artistic Director, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab; its Chief Executive Officer, established businessman Julio D. The Kaya Natin! Champions| Inspiring Stories of Good Governance and Leadership in the Philippines Volume 1

No comments:

It was October 2010 when I attended a book launch, “Jesus Sets Us Free” by Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas. It’s a compilation of  homilies by Father Soc and it aims to enlighten us through reflection and deep appreciation for prayer as tool for peace. I already finished reading the book and honestly, I still keep coming back and find time to read it all over again. I plan to create a blog post, to share how it inspires me and taught me the power of deep prayer.

Recently, I attended another book launch, a story of Champions of Good Governance and Leadership. Though, I still need to read it from cover to cover to be able to give my insights but here’s an overview of the book Kaya Natin! Volume 1.

The Kaya Natin! Champions: Inspiring Stories of Good Governance and Leadership in the Philippines Volume 1 is a compilation of ten stories of good governance, local and national government officials who embodied the values of effective and empowering leadership with integrity. Each chapter tells the story of one individual, from their background to their political career and their leadership lessons. These former and incumbent officials are part of the roster of Champions of Good Governance of the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership.

DSC08166

The people featured in the book are the following: Kaya Natin co-founder Jessie Robredo, Grace Padaca and Ed Panlilio; Former Mayor Sonia Lorenzo (San Isidro Nueva Ecija), Sen Teofisto Guingona III, Rep. Teodoro Baguilat Jr (Ifugao), Rep Bolet Banal (Quezon City), former councilor Mabel Sunga-Acosta (Davao City), Mayor Roque Verzosa, Jr (Tagudin, Ilocos Sur) and Board Member Shirlyn Macasarte (Cotabato).

DSC08214

The editors Shylynne Castillo, 20 years old is a recent graduate of the Manila Times School of Journalism and Karla Angelica Pastores, 24 yrs old a graduate of B.S. Psychology degree from Ateneo de Manila University. Most of the contributors are either college students or young professionals, between the ages of 19-29, with varying backgrounds but a common love for writing. They are neither volunteers of Kaya Natin nor employees, but most of them attended the movement’s Good Governance Writing Workshop where they were introduced to the Champions and given training on feature writing.

Kaya Natin! Champions: Inspiring Stories of Good Governance and Leadership in the Philippines Volume 1 is available at all Fully Booked Stores, Kaya Natin! Office (02) 990-0928 and ADMU Press (02) 426-6001 loc 4612
