Happy 70th Birthday To The House That Fried Chicken Built

It must be overwhelming when you're about to celebrate a big milestone, looking back all the wonderful stories you shared over the years. It was a privilege to be invited at Max's Restaurant 70th birthday celebration held at the very first Max's store in Scout Tuazon.

I have fond memories with Max's. After college graduation, I wanted to treat my family especially that I graduated with flying colors, even topped the Nursing Board Exam. But I don't have enough money. Guess what? God indeed provides, while passing the street between Ali mall and SM Cubao, I founds something on the floor. We brought the gold bracelet at the nearest pawnshop to check the value. To my surprise it was worth P3,500 when pawned. We waited about half an hour. Observing if someone would look for the jewelry but there's no one. I used the money to treat my family at Max's restaurant. I was tearful, grateful with the blessings from the heaven.

In 2013, we ordered our favorite food at Max's during our Christian Housewarming ceremony. I did not have to cook and spend more time in the kitchen, I was more relaxed the whole day. Not to mention, how our relatives and friends love Max's fried chicken, pansit canton and ensaymada. These stories were part of 70 wonderful years of #SarapToTheBones.

On his birthday celebration, we remembered the time they opened the very first store to memorabilia that were kept over the years. There's old staff uniforms, identification card, Max's coffee table book among others.

Max's Group of Companies is getting bigger with Max's Corner Bakery, Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice, Pancake House, Yellow Cab, Teriyaki Boy, Dencio's, Maple, Kabisera, Le Coeur de France, Singkit and Sizzling Steak.

Today, we would celebrate different occasions at Max's. The most recent was my mom's birthday dinner at Max's Robinson's Galleria. It's very accessible to Crowne Plaza Manila where we were staying for her birthday treat. Happy 70 years of serving Sarap To The Bones Max's Fried Chicken but most of all for bring families closer together.
