"Akyat!" A Filipino's Journey to the Seven Summits

Who's not familiar with Romi Garduce, a Filipino who has climbed all the Seven Summits, including Mt. Everest. He is also the first Filipino to climb an 8,000-m peak, Mt. Cho Oyu.

The first time I meet Romi was during his book launch, "Akyat" (to climb) held at ROX  (Recreational Outdoor eXchange) Store in Bonifacio Global City. At first sight, I knew he's simple, approachable and down to earth.

Truly, for a man with high hopes nothing is impossible.

I am excited to read the book and find out how he successfully finished the trail. For sure, his story will inspire every Filipino adventurer and those who simply searching for inspiration. During the launch, he casually shared to us how he was able to finish this book, that he even had to work with three editors.

I haven't started reading his book, I wish I could..soon.
