Goldilocks Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge

Goldilocks has been conducting its annual “Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge" or ICDC to give college students a venue to showcase their creativity and talents.

Last weekend, the 9th ICDC was held at the Atrium of SM Mall of Asia. The event was hosted by Chef Jackie Ang Po and DJ Gino Quillamor of RX 93.1. Of course, Goldilocks endorser Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo graced the 9th ICDC. 

From hundreds of entries Goldilocks have to choose the top six for the finals. Contestants need to decorate a debutante inspired cake using whipped creme, and a wedding cake using fondant. The Overall Winner received a baking showcase (for their school) worth P250,000 and exciting prizes for the category winners and runners-up.

Each team has complete supply containing a full array of decorative materials such as sprinkles, candies, toppers, and dyes. The base ingredient, of course, is Avoset Pour N Whip, which has been the event‘s co-sponsor since its first installment. Moreover. because teams are now allowed to layer their cakes, the duration was extended to five (5) hours.

1st place - Polytechnic University of the Philippines
2nd place - Western Institute of Technology-Iloilo
3rd place - St. Anne College of Lucena
