Summer Snacks

SUMMER time is definitely the best time to go on a picnic with family or friends. Let me share some readily available food that can be included in your picnic basket. McDonald's McRib, savory barbecue sandwich and Calbee potato snacks. 

McDonalds McRib

McDonalds recently launched McRib sandwich, with rib-shaped pork patty dipped in sweet, tangy and smoky barbecue sauce, topped with pickle slices and slivered onions, sandwiched between two warm caramelized buns. Also, there's McRib Deluxe with the same tender pork patty, tasty barbecue sauce and soft buns. The McRib Deluxe replaces the pickles and onions with fresh crisp lettuce and creamy mayonnaise.

This tasty sandwich is very filling. I can even share it to my husband. The pork patty is tender and juicy with oozing barbecue sauce.

Available at an a la carte price of only PHP 99. Although McDonald's McRib is only available for a limited time only, it's a tasty sandwich that's perfect for the summer. Go get one! Have you tried the McDonald's McRib? What can you say?

Jack n' Jill Calbee Snack

Japan's Calbee teams up with Universal Robina Corporation to bring popular Japanese snacks, Calbee here in the Philippines.

Jack 'n Jill Calbee Potato Chips has 3 delectable flavors - Classic Salted, Cheddar and Sour Cream, and Wasabi variants. They are available in 170g and 28 g packs. Among the three, the Cheddar and Sour Cream was my favorite followed by the Classic Salted. Wasabi Calbee Potato Chips is an interesting flavor though, not too spicy.

Jagabee Potato Fries

During our city staycation at Aurum One hotel, I bought Jagabee Potato Fries for our movie marathon. I was right, we happily watched Arrow (the series) from morning until evening, non-stop while munching Jagabee Potato Fries, Shakey's Pizza and Pretzel Crisps.

We eat potato chips once in a while so when we dig in, as much as possible we wanted the best ones in terms of flavor and texture, lol! Thanks for bringing Calbee in the Philippines, we're so delighted.
