Healthy Options Talk 2018: Stress Remedy with Dr. Doni Wilson

NO! One word, two letters, yet too difficult to say. Recently, I took a break from my overly connected social life and decided to disconnect. I spent the past two days reading my favorite books. I easily fell asleep at 7pm and woke up at 5am which is time for meditation. When I came back, I felt better and energized.

I've been working "online" for more than a decade now. Started as an online coach for state board exam review until I learned about blogging. Initially, I thought this kind of job is less stressful compared to my previous job in the hospital. Schedules are getting full, small meetings needed to squeeze in between. Don't get me wrong, I am always grateful for the opportunities. But sometimes, I forgot that I am only human being. Stress starts to consume me.

Hans Selye said "It's not the stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it." To maintain optimal health, we need to support our body's process of restoring itself.
