Holiday Night Market at Circuit Makati

You know it's the holiday season when you see a lot of bazaars and tiannge night market all over the metro. We visited the newly opened Makati Circuit for its Christmas tree lighting ceremony followed by the opening of its weekend bazaar.

The Globe Circuit Events Place is an open area in front of Ayala Mall Circuit Makati. Just before Christmas preparations kick into full swing, Circuit Makati brought the sound of spirited music, movie marathons, meticulous gift shopping, and lots of celebrating with the family at the 2019 run of the Circuit Holiday Night Market Local Holiday Night Market.

This year’s night market fixed its lens on all things homegrown and truly Filipino. From yummy dishes and local crafts to must-haves for the kitchen, garden and the rest of the home, every Juan got something in the Local Holiday Night Market’s six districts.

At Makati Night Market, you will find unique, locally-produced products and delicacies from across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. From coffee, jams, cookies to anything snacks, you'll get it here at the night market.

Janice de Belen

One of my favorites is the Celebrity District, organized in partnership with children’s book author and celebrity mom Tin Tin Babao, featured almost 30 merchants including actress Janice de Belen, Pokwang, Nikki Valdez, Niño Muhlach with son Alonzo, LJ Moreno - Alapag, Diana Zubiri, Miriam Quiambao, Tippy Dos Santos, Nene Tamayo, and Yana Asistio, among others.

I bought several pre-loved clothes from Tippy, perfectly fit because we have the same size. My fashion finds from her booth are the colorful scarves.

We also spotted Janice de Belen aka Amelia of the recently concluded teleserye, "The General's Daughter".

Ladies, if you're looking for leather goods and proudly Marikina-made shoes for personal or gifting, you may come and visit. The Wandergram-led Lifestyle District delivered a gifting option for  everyone lending its platform to new and established entrepreneurs, staying true to its vision of helping the bright-eyed and business-savvy reach a larger audience.

Meanwhile, the Student District, a joint effort with the UP Organization of Business Economics Majors to support student entrepreneurs in their business ventures, sold baked goods, artisanal soaps, and other one-of-a-kind, gift-worthy products perfect for family and friends!

Over at the Cuisine District, organized by Mercato Centrale, up to 30 merchants served up delectable dishes, mouth-watering snacks, and refreshing beverages. The Green District on the other hand, organized in partnership with the Landscape Management Group and Ayala Property Management Corporation, featured succulents and houseplants from vendors across the country.

There are lots of happenings at Circuit Makati from film showing, contemporary arts and dance performances, live chorale performances, and sets by some of OPM’s finest: indie band Munimuni, Indayo and 7-piece band Lola Amour.

What’s New at Circuit Makati?

Make sure to post a photo at the Interactive Wall Mural along Symphony Drive painted by artist Nini Andrada Sacro with the help of artistic Makatizens. Delighting mall-goers soon is Reg Yuson’s artwork which will be located by the water along Circuit Lane.

Ayala Malls Circuit is also home to unique merchants like Taiwanese bakeshop Original Cake, and Avocadoria, which combines avocado and decadent treats into a guilt-free dessert. Newly opened Japanese Food Chain Marugame Udon, is now serving Japanese comfort food to a new level with its freshly made Sanuki-style udon and crispy fried tempura.

Soon to open are Homegrown restaurant Mary Grace which has become the go-to place for their comforting tsokolate paired with pillowy ensaymada, and the country’s ever-reliable office and school supplies shop, National Bookstore. Household shopping club S&R Membership. Opening soon is the he Circuit Performing Arts Theater, which will be opening to the public on May 2020.

There's no more reason to celebrate Christmas. Even with a limited budget, you can bring the whole family and enjoy the season. Happy Holidays to all!
