Christmas 2021: Tis The Season For Get-Together!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas time. Almost two years in the pandemic and I've been waiting for the time that we can come together and celebrate the holidays with our friends and families just like the old times.

Merry Christmas from me and my siblings

I am so glad that we were able to through away pre-Christmas mini gatherings at home before everyone gets busy. I missed the laughter and dining out, so we invited my siblings and some friends for a simple lunch and afternoon tea in our quaint garden in Quezon City.

Aside from life, work and the pandemic, these lovely plants became one of our topics that afternoon. I shared how I grow edible plants even with small space and using recycled containers. We were surrounded with variety of plants, some where edible and fruit bearings like the eggplant and tomato plant. The lush pink bougainvillea tree serves as our shade from the not-so hot Christmas weather.

We had Filipino dishes such as Caldereta and Bangus sisig from Ka Tunying's Restaurant. These were frozen and ready to heat viands that you can serve for sudden guests. The kids requested for Jollibee chicken joy so I ordered through GrabFood. We also have Pizza Hut Holiday Ham Supreme Stuffed Crust Pizza, its the newest and festive pizza variant from Pizza Hut. This might be available for a limited time only so might as well include it in your New Year's eve party food.

I made butter pound cake with Maya All Purpose Flour. You see it's very easy to make desserts with Maya cake mixes, you can even make one with an oven toaster. Our friends from The Maya Kitchen sent us this yummy MAYA Butterscotch Walnut Praline as well.

With the pandemic still not over, and the looming Covid-19 omicron, we remain grateful that somehow we can come together to celebrate special occasions such as Christmas and thanksgiving. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!
