"Your Guide to the Philippines - SM North EDSA’s Summer Campaign

Still undecided what to do or where to spent your vacation? Books, magazines, postcards and a lot of travel blogs and websites will help you plan your best & most memorable vacation. Know more about what the Philippines can offer, do your own research, plan ahead and make an itinerary, these are just some of travel tips I can give you.

The campaign on Philippine Tourism has becoming widespread over the years. People become more interested traveling the country. Thanks to great discounts and promotional offers from different airline companies as well as major shipping lines.

Do you know that even most shopping malls has taking part of promoting Philippine tourism?

Last April 30, one of the biggest mall in Quezon City started their latest campaign "Your Guide to the Philippines, A celebration of everything beautiful about our country" , an exhibition of the Philippine’s  most beautiful and must-see tourist spots.

Remember the parting words of Gen Douglas MacArthur? "I shall return".

Maybe, you would like to visit the historical town of Vigan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk along the cobblestone road of Crisologo Street and visit some of colonial houses.

Well, this is not a real horse, when you visit Vigan, never miss to take a tour  along the historical sites riding the Kalesa (horse-drawn carriage).

SM’s summer campaign is not limited to inviting more customers but also influencing & attracting Filipinos and tourists to travel the country. It gives the people an idea of what the Philippines can offer. This is like Educational Tour or Field Trips that mostly experienced by Elementary and High School students.

I sat for a while and observed how people enjoy the exhibit. They are very happy, though some of them seems not familiar with the featured Philippine attraction, good thing a background music and narration  telling a brief history and significant events that took place during those times.

Aside from the Philippine scenery exhibition, SM holds Philippine Bonsai Exhibition and Competition from May 6-30.
