If you've been to Bonifacio High Street recently, you've probably passed by this newly opened fine dining restaurant called Crystal Jade Dining In, just across Rox.

Hubby and I got to visit the restaurant for brunch.  There were few customers when we arrived but as the clock hits 12, customers started to arrive - most in corporate attire. 

While Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao in Greenhills has been popular with their dim sumCrystal Jade Dining In at BGC on the other hand, offers authentic Cantonese cuisine


Allow me to bring you into a gastronomic feast with some of the best dishes from Crystal Jade.

Upon entering you'll notice the restaurant's elegant interior, tables, chairs, table napkins are well-color coordinated. According to the restaurant manager, even the utensils and ceramic plates are imported from Singapore.

Immediately, they served a warm cup of tea.  

The Baked Bo Lo BBQ Pork Bun (180/3pcs) is a heavy appetizer; filled with tasty oriental pork BBQ. You may opt to have it for a light snack partner with hot tea or steaming hot pot of noodles.

Followed by a mouthwatering dish, served with your choice of steamed or toasted kua pao, the Braised Pork with Special Sauce (P350) will satisfy your craving for Chinese cuisine. The meat tender and sauce a bit sweet and succulent  I bet you would want a second round or kua pao or perhaps a cup of rice.

Crystal Jade

Cooked and served in a coconut shell, the Double Boiled Crab Claw Soup with Superior Mushroom in Fresh Coconut (P480) is another Crystal Jade's signature dish. 

With several types of premium mushrooms and literally large crab claw then place in a coconut shell and cooked for the 2nd time offers a light yet tasty coconut broth. It could be shared by two or three.

Crispy Duck Sandwich  & Shredded Duck Fruit Salad (P680) comprises of 8 bite-size duck meat and a mouthwatering, creamy duck salad on the side. The former, meaty and tasty while the bite-size duck are deliciously crispy.

Finally, for sweet endings, try the seasonal Chilled Avocado Pudding & Pomelo (P180). Decadent and pleasing to the palate, you'll love the soft avocado pudding.

Aside from corporate or business meetings, Crystal Jade Dining In is perfect for a weekend family get together. The round tables perfectly fit big families.

Well, although it's a fine dining restaurant, coming in a casual attire would definitely not a problem. There's no need to get intimidated, the staff were friendly and courteous. 

 

So anyhow, if you're looking for an authentic Cantonese cuisine, Crystal Jade Dining In is highly recommended. Although a bit expensive, the overall experience are worth the bill. Anyway, it's okay to spent a few more peso once in a while.
