75th Oktoberfest at Sofitel Philippine Plaza

Yay, it's October and the most awaited beer festival in the country, Oktoberfest 2013 is all set on the 18th and 19th of October at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila's newly renovated Harbor Garden Tent. 

I haven't attended Oktoberfest celebrations in the past but the media preview I was invited to attend gave me an idea of how it will be celebrated.

This year's Oktoberfest or should I say the 75th Oktoberfest promises an even grander spread of authentic Bavarian cuisine and music by the "Bavarian Sound Express" from Munich, well-known from previous Oktoberfests in Manila. In celebration of the 180th year of the Oktoberfest worldwide, the Harbor Garden Tent will be decorated in Bavarian colors - white and blue.

There will be authentic Oktoberfest tables and benches giving a festive beer garden fair setting.
The traditional Oktoberfest food will be served such as fresh roasted pork knuckles, roasted calf, grilled German sausages and mouth-watering pastries paired with refreshing, ice cold San Miguel Beer free flowing.

The Bloomfields, known for their beach boys-inspired brand of rock will perform with their retro 60s music on the 19th of October.
