The much-awaited ElectroluxPH Wok-a-holic semi-finals happened last Staurday at Cash & Carry Makati. The top 14 were given 30 minutes to present a dish to Wok-a-holic judges, Chef Bruce Lim, Chef Rosebud Benitez from Quick Fire 10 minute cooking, Chef Jonathan Bautista of CCA and Miss. Roselle Miranda, Food Editor of Good Housekeeping Magazine.
In the evening, top 6 were revealed; Rigette Osoteo and blogger partner Aileen Vedad, Izza Quintos and blogger Carl Valenzona, JM Darlucio and blogger Irish Pulga, Georgina Shirar and blogger JR Bustamante, Roki Ferrer and blogger partner Enzo, Roserie Penaflor and online partner JM Bueno.
Unfortunately, Christina Castro (my Kitchen Star partner) did not make it to the Top 6. Tina said it was a memorable and learning experience joining the Wokaholic and working with the country's top Chefs.

July 8, 2012 Grand Finale - Just before the final cook-off Chef Bruce Lim made three mouth-watering dishes.
The final six were given equal time to prepare their dish - ingredients taken from the Electrolux side by side refrigerator, preparation and slicing, cooking and plating.

Joining ElectroluxPH Wokhalic Kitchen Star was a great experience. Given a limited role in the chef's table all I did is to help my partner/contestant gather votes for the People's Choice Award, still it was fun and exciting! Yes, we didn't make it but there will be more contest like this in the future and I hope to see her again. At the end of the day, me and my bf imagined ourselves wearing an apron and standing in front of the judges presenting our own dish! What do you think? Looking forward to ElectroluxPH Wok-a-holic Couple's Edition next year!
