Dinner Date at Senju EDSA Shangri-La Hotel

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon, we were busy working and blogging suddenly J invited me to watch a movie. At first, I decline his invitation wanting to spend the whole afternoon at home but he insisted. Anyway, the next hour we were at Robinsons Galleria Cinema for the Dark Knight Rises”.

Take Out: Hot & Cold Drinks

Our movie date went well with a cup of coffee and delicious milk tea from Serenity.

Then he said dinner will be at Tokyo Tokyo Shangri La Plaza. I wonder why he wants to go at Shangri La Plaza knowing there are other Japanese restaurants at Robinsons Galleria, one is the Yoshinoya located at the ground floor near food court area.

At EDSA Shangri La Hotel J took the lift going to the 2nd floor. I started to question him but he remain quiet, we’re at Senju EDSA Shangri La! It was a surprise dinner at Senju celebrating our sixth month. I had the Tsuki Special (P1,600) a full course meal comprises of three (3) kinds of sashimi, Chilean sea bass, Wafu steak and assorted tempura.

Tsuki Special came with salad, appetizer, miso soup and fruits too!

Senju: Deep Fried Creamy Croquette

Deep Fried Creamy Croquette was served first. It was warm and taste just fine.

Senju: Wafu Steak

I love the juicy, tender Wafu Steak, it was fantastic!

Then there’s three kinds of sashimi namely raw salmon, raw tuna and crab-stick.

Jonel had San Shoku Jyu Zen (P1,200) with assorted tempura, beef steak, broiled eel and fried vegetables.

I love the broiled eel, soft and so flavorful. He said the beef was tough I didn't bother to try since I’m not really into beef steak.

For dessert we had fresh fruits, a slice of watermelon, melon, pineapple and a piece of grape. It was okay. I also had Passion Fruit Smoothie (P285).

Spending sometime together was all we need to be happy. We enjoyed the dinner with some great dishes, perfect for our celebration and even if it’s Tokyo Tokyo, Yoshinoya or Senju, we don’t live in luxury but thankful for blessings that come.

How about you? When was the last time you go out with your lover on a date or just walking around the bay?
