Anneong Hasseyo!

A fresh, casual dining located at the heart of Metro is becoming popular with its affordable Korean dishes.

Few months ago, upon invitation I visited Chef’s Noodles in University Mall, a place familiar specially to those taking the LRT.

I had mouth-watering Korean dishes, let me start with the Chef’s Noodles Signature dish, The Chef’s Noodles. A delightful savory concoction of yummy noodles generous on vegetable and meat toppings.

The Chef’s Noodles is served in a black large bowl. The server pours the hot soup right after they serve you the noodles.

For only Php150 Chef’s Noodle’s signature dish is topped with tamago, spouts, fried tofu, jun-ya, kutchai, and the choice of the restaurant’s secret seafood or beef broth. An order can be shared by two to three person.

Aside from steaming noodles and rice meals, they have pancakes too! Take note that these are not the usual breakfast pancakes served with honey.

Above photo is called Wanja Steak Jun, meat is good even the serving size is generous, however I find the sauce a bit salty.

This pancake is called Bulgogi Leek Butchu Jun (photo below), their version of pancake with Bulgogi, fresh Kutchai, bell pepper and Chef’s noodles’ pancake mixture. I personally like it, specially the sesame seeds on top. It’s great for snacking.

Last but not the least is Chef’s Noodles very own Starking Fire Sushi made more exciting as they cook it in front of you. It’s one kind of a unique Starking Fire Sushi experience.

Although I didn’t see an array of side dishes (banchan) which are served in other Korea restaurants, anyone can still experience Korea with its wide array of flavorful Korean dishes at an affordable price. Have you visited the Chef’s Noodles?

You can also check out Chef’s Noodles’ Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/chefsnoodlephils or visit them at University Mall, Unit 07 Second Floor, 2507 Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila, Philippines. They are open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 9pm and Saturdays 10am to 6pm.
