Sugar Factory Opens in Manila

It's been a while since I blog about a dessert places. So allow me share my recent discovery, a sweet spot for women who enjoys candies, cakes, anything sweet. Opened its first door in Las Vegas sometime in 2009, popular for its celebrity-endorsed Couture Pops. Sugar Factory finally arrives in Manila and opened at Shangri La The Fort. Everyone was taking about their lollies, excited with other fancy treats.

Sugar Factory Manila's signature menu offers salad, soup, pasta to burgers. The Sampler Platter (Php 820) comprises of buttermilk onion rings, buffalo wings, mac & cheese pops, and crispy chicken fingers served with three kinds of dipping sauces. I personally like the chicken fingers. Hubby said the onion rings has interesting flavor. Big in size and something new from the regular pancake is the Red Velvet Pancakes. An order comes with three fluffy pancakes, white chocolate chunk, orange zest, whipped cream and warm maple syrup.

Chinese Chicken Salad in ginger sesame dressing was one of my favorite. Served in a plate are mixed salad greens, shredded cabbage and crispy wontons, julienne carrots, water chestnuts, green onion, basil, toasted sesame seeds, roasted peanuts and fresh cilantro. Size was good enough for sharing.

Then we had Chicken Parmesan or chicken breast seasoned, breaded and served with special tomato sauce, melted Mozzarella and Rigatoni. I took a photo of this lovely Banana-Split Waffles topped with fresh bananas, strawberries, melted chocolate sauce and crunchy chocolate hazelnut bits. On top is a scoop of ice cream and cream. It was gone in just a few minutes so I haven't tasted it. Will definitely try it on our next visit. Stay tuned with my snaps on ig. :)

The drinks menu was presented. There's four (4) thirst quenching goblets:

Lollipop Passion has mixture of melon, coconut, and pineapple garnish with lollipops.
Ocean Blue, Mai Tai has fresh orange and pineapple juice blended to perfection with coconut and light rum and then topped with a float of Dark Myers rum. Last but not the least is the White Gummi.

I was also excited to see their tall size milkshakes. We tried the Dulce de Leche Milkshake (Php830). It's made with vanilla ice cream blended with dulce de leche, topped with whipped cream, waffle cone, unicorn pop, and sprinkles in a chocolate covered mug dressed in pop corn. It's just too cute to drink.

Then the much awaited part of the meal, dessert! This moist, decadent chocolate cake (P340) receives our two thumbs up. It's rich with just the right sweetness. For those who love cheesecake, then try its Chocolate White Cheesecake (P415).

Check out the trendy interior of Sugar Factory in Manila. I love the classic black and white interior design, accentuate with chandeliers and mirrors. This corner is the dining area, the other side will be the candy shop. Sugar Factory American Brasserie have branches in New York City, Bahrain, Chicago and Miami.
