Shop Kitchen and Dining Needs at Gourdo's

I wish I can create delicious dessert for my family and friends. I wanted to learn how to bake so I attended a whole day baking class in Manila a few years ago. Right after the class, I went shopping for kitchenware and baking tools in Gourdo's, watched videos on how to bake pandesal and simple cakes. Guess how many cakes I've made since then?

Zero, none! You may call it procrastination or am I just too excited in the beginning. I always tell people I haven't started baking because even if I have all the necessary baking tools and ingredients there's one more thing that's missing, yes it's the oven. I can't decide what type of oven to get - electric or gas.

Gourdo's is my go-to store for kitchenware needs. I still have the Christmas plates my friend gave me a few years back. I always look forward to serving these green and red plates during the holiday season.

Gourdo’s now has a total of 12 branches with two located at Alabang Town Center, and others in Uptown Mall and SM Aura in Taguig, Megamall and The Podium in Mandaluyong, The Promenade in San Juan; and Trinoma, UP Town Center, Gateway Mall, and Robinson's Magnolia in Quezon City. Scheduled to open in 2020 are outlets in SM Fairview and Mall of Asia.

I frequently visit Gourdo's Trinoma because it's more accessible to me but you should check out Gourdo's Glorietta branch. It's newly renovated, stylish, and ten times bigger than before. You can now enjoy shopping for your home or looking for a nice gift for a friend.

I always enjoy even a quick stop at Gourdo's. Those gorgeously-detailed tableware and classic white plates are just too hard to resist. The cake stand, I've collected two! Even if I have more than three sets of dinnerware, there's always room for additional sets.

Among the familiar brands in the roster are Wilton, Wusthof, Microplane, Lodge, Ballarini, Swissmar, Libbey, Tovolo, and Trudeau. Gourdo's also has its own in-house labeled products.

Stylish settings can be easily achieved with value-for-money options of dinnerware, cutlery, glassware, and linens. Buffet set-up needs are met with serving tools like chafers, buffet plates, grazing boards, and service sets. If a raclette party is on your calendar, Gourdo’s has everything for a cheese or chocolate fondue. You can put together a Spanish spread with their paelleras, cazuelas, and Spanish food ingredients.

Also available are tools for those who are into bartending such as copper cocktail shakers and stemware. Those who prefer coffee and tea won’t be disappointed with the selection of accessories and coffee beans and the line-up of tea brands. Gourdo’s carries Twinings, Tipson, and Basilur.

Even baking ingredients are available. Are you looking for Wilton fondant and food coloring, chocolates for praline-making, colored dusting powder for sugar crafts, cookie and cupcake decorating? Head to Gourdo’s. They also sell home-grown favorites like Basimatsi vinegar as well as chocolates from Auro, Malagos, Manila Chocolatier, and Theo and Philo.

It’s not just all little things at Gourdo’s, don’t be surprised to see electric kitchen appliances under the labels of Kitchen Aid, Oster, Kenwood, Vitamix, Braun, George Foreman, and Russel Hobbs.

Now that I have a table top oven and kitchenware from Gourdo's, I can finally apply the baking skills I learned from Eton Global Institute. Any dessert recipes you can share?
