Shop2Give Hope : Shop For a Worthy Cause + Enjoy Great Deals

How are you doing your grocery shopping now? We've been told to stay home to avoid further transmission of corona virus. Of course, we need to get our essentials but I personally chose to do online shopping instead of going to the mall and supermarket. I find it more convenient, hassle-free but best of all, safe during this challenging time.

It was just the other day that I go out to do errands, shop and pay other bills. I've been doing my grocery shopping online since March. I am afraid that I might get the virus in crowded places but I am more worried that if I get the virus, I might pass it to my loved ones who are older and younger than me. I guess, everyone is anxious and worried during the pandemic but younger children have been the most affected by this challenging time. They can’t go out to play and they surely miss their friends and classmates. With schools halting operation in an effort to contain the spread of the virus. Sadly, not all of them can afford to attend online classes especially those living in rural areas. Our youth are facing a lot of trials and challenges related to education, brought about by this pandemic.

According to data gathered by UNICEF, more than 180 countries have imposed nationwide closures on educational institutions, affecting not only the teachers and staff, but also more than 1.5 billion children and youth.* In the Philippines, a country with limited internet capacity and availability especially in rural areas, even holding online classes is not a viable option for most educators, leaving children to put their dreams and their futures on hold. Based on the UNICEF Philippines operational response plan, it is estimated that 28 million children in total are impacted by the current crisis.
