5 Ways to Order from GrabFood

Ever since the pandemic started, our use of Grab app has tripled. Grab is more than booking a private car or requesting a rider to send/pick-up items for delivery. Since last year, we had an increase in online purchases for grocery items and food delivery through GrabFood. The app has been a huge help especially during this time of pandemic. We no longer have to go out more frequently to get our essentials, thanks to Grab!

GrabFood's restaurants are mostly affordable, mid-range restaurants and fast-food like McDonald's, Jollibee, Burger King, just to name a few. But you will also find a lot of restaurants offering quick snacks especially milk tea shops in Manila, local eateries and bakeries. Recently I ordered Lola Nena's doughnuts and pichi-pichi.

Sometimes I just don’t feel like cooking or preparing our breakfast. I simply open the Grab app and choose from many breakfast recommendation. I noticed that after searching for a specific dish, the app looks and recommends restaurants that offer the same dishes. That’s what we call Relevance. GrabFood is providing a more personalised customer experience.

5 Ways to Order from GrabFood

There are several ways you can order food through GrabFood. These are Delivery on-demand, Self Pick-up, Scheduled Delivery, Group Order and Mix-and-Match.

Delivery-on-demand simply pertains to the speedy delivery of any product after a customer placed his/her order. Choose the restaurant you'd like to order, place your order and wait for it to be delivered usually in less than thirty minutes. I personally like how Grab shows us our order, from the moment the app received the order to delivery. You would also see if the merchant has prepared and handed the order to the rider.

I also like using the Self-pick option especially when we're out doing errand. Sometimes there's also a discount when you choose self pick-up. We hope to have the mix-and-match option here in the Philippines soon. Meanwhile, we can try the GrabKitchen.
