My Garden Focaccia with Maya All Purpose Flour

I'm back in the kitchen making some tasty, yummy bread. Prior to making this focaccia bread, I was missing in action, guess you all know why. I'm glad to share with you this recipe that received wonderful comments. Feeling grateful is what exactly I felt reading people's comments because I was able to put a smile on their faces.

Garden Focaccia Recipe with Maya All Purpose Flour

My husband and I love to eat at Italianni's restaurant. We love their salmon and chicken, truffle pasta and the complimentary focaccia bread they serve as we wait for our orders. Since the pandemic, we rarely go out to dine in our favorite restaurants so I wanted for us to enjoy the same meals when we would go out on a date.

Here's our Garden Focaccia Recipe

Focaccia Dough
Focaccia Dough

Ingredients in making Focaccia

4 cups Maya All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
2 tsp kosher salt
2 cups lukewarm water
1 cup fresh basil
5 pcs cherry tomatoes
fresh rosemary
4 pcs black olives, sliced
Borges olive oil

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Transfer in an oiled bowl and drizzle with olive oil to prevent dough from drying.
Cover and place inside the refrigerator overnight or 8-12 hours
Next day, transfer to a 9x13 oiled tray. Do not knead and let the dough rest again for about 2-4 hours.
Prepare the herbs. I use chopped fresh and dry rosemary. Arrange the sliced cherry tomatoes according to your liking, fresh basil and black olives. Mine is a garden focaccia.
Now, this is the fun part, add oil and dimple the dough.
You may add more salt and olive oil.
Bake at 425F for 25minutes

Homemade Focaccia Bread
Homemade Focaccia Bread

Homemade bread is the best because you're confident that it's safe and fresh because you yourself made it. I've been using Maya All Purpose Flour in making all my bread at home from brioche, white bread, pandesal, coffee bun to loaf bread. It's high quality flour creates delicious bread. You also save money by limiting your purchase of expensive bread. Best of all, you don't have to go to the grocery or bakeshop most of the time, decreasing your chances of getting exposed to Covid-19 virus.

Another thing I like about focaccia bread is that the ingredients are very simple. For the toppings, you can use a variety of vegetables and herbs - peppers, garlic, onion, oregano and basil. You can make by batch and store in the freezer.

Focaccia Dip
Balsamic vinegar and Borges Olive Oil

Serve freshly baked focaccia bread with homemade dip/sauce (balsamic vinegar with olive oil). I'm using Borges Olive Oil which I bought on Shopee. You can also get your baking supply on Shopee at the official Maya store. It's great anytime of the day for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I hope you like this recipe.
