SOLANE (Formerly Shellane) LPG Launch

Who’s not familiar with Shellane, an LPG brand that we usually see on every household? For many years, our family use only Shellane because father believes on theirs high-level safety standards.

Unfortunately, when I started living on my own I tried another brand/tank which I got from my aunt’s store. Although I never had a bad experience with this brand I had to purchase a very good regulator separately. I am also afraid of fixing or replacing new LPG tank  so I usually ask someone to do it, often times the one who delivers the tank removes the regulator.

I was invited to the press conference of Solane, formerly known as Shellane; a brand that has been in the market for 46 years.

Isla LPG Introduced SOLANE

Last September 12, 2011, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation entered into a share purchase agreement with Isla Petroleum & Gas Corporation (IP&G) for the sale of Shell’s LPG business in the Philippines. The completion of the sale took effect last January 27, 2012 and Shell Gas (LPG) Philippines, Inc. consequently renamed its company to Isla LPG Corporation

Isla LPG Introduced SOLANE

The Name Solane - It’s a combination of two words. “Sol” is the Spanish translation of sun which radiates heat, warmth and energy”, and “ane” is derived from LPG’s two major components – propane and butane. And it aims to continue the Shellane legacy of giving life and energy to Filipino households and establishments nationwide.

“We are very excited with the launch of Solane and we would like to personally thank all of our customers for their continuous support”, said Toshi Fuse, Chief Executive Officer of Isla LPG Corporation.

“Solane is all about changing the LPG landscape with better leadership, better vision, better service and, most importantly, better product.”

Solane’s Hatid-Bahay riders nationwide also perform a weight check in front of the customer free of charge to ensure they get their money’s worth. In addition it also comes with their free signature 7-point Safety Check.

These services are available all over Metro Manila through the Hatid-Bahay hotline at (02) 887-5555, via SMS thru 0918-887-5555 or by visiting authorized dealers nationwide.

Customers are also encouraged to avail of the Solane Loyalista Plus card, which offers perks and other free collectibles from Solane. The promo runs until December 31, 2012. For more information, you may log on to http://www.isla-lpg.com/
