Relative Realities, A Digital Art Exhibition

Spot the difference? Did you see it? Amazing, isn't it?
Experience how traditional arts hanging on the walls of Yuchengco Museum turn into an amazing moving object, with sounds or animation through the latest exhibition called Relative Realities.

I went to see Samsung and Yuchengco Museum's "Relative Realities" digital arts exhibition and was amazed how artworks turned into digital. It was an experience of new reality.

Admission is free and upon registration, we were advised to download an application called, FACETS Futuristic Art Creations Enabled by TVs and Smart devices on our Samsung smartphones to experience the new dimension of arts through digital technology.

Above photo is the FACETS app. It's easy to use and gives you information about the a particular artwork, the museum, the artists and the access to the AR camera

The exhibit showcases the artworks of six especially invited Filipino artists: printmaker Ambie Abaño, painter Ernest Concepcion, painter Jason Montinola, sculptor Leeroy New, visual artist Arturo Sanchez, Jr., and multimedia and performance artist Josephine Turalba.

Facets provides information about the art work.

The first floor highlights the Masters Gallery whose works celebrate the Filipino life, ways, history, and myths with wonderful images.

To experience FACETS, you just have to scan the image with your smartphone. I've watch how fast the heartbeat and the wave-like movement of the art pieces on my Samsung Note3. The mobile app called FACETS, presents a different side to the artwork, whether it’s information about the work and the artist or even 3D graphics, video, animation, or sound.
