Buhay Carinderia Redefined: Showcasing Filipino Eatery

I recently attended the relaunch of "Buhay Carinderia, Redefined!" held at the Rizal Park Hotel. This tourism campaign aims to promote and showcases affordable Filipino eatery from different parts of the Philippines.

The launch was graced by DOT's Tourism Board COO, Cesar Montano and Tourism Secretary, Wanda Corazon Teo.

Buhay Carinderia is the brainchild of Erlinda Legaspi of Marylindbert International which started in 2011 as "Carinderia Fiesta". With the support of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the TPB, Buhay Carinderia will be much more exciting. There will be five legs highlighting different provinces before the grand culmination happening on November this year.

The first stop will be Vigan in June. Buhay Carinderia will showcase food from 15 provinces of Region 1, Region 2 and the Cordillera Administrative Region, gathering them at the Vigan Convention Center on June 28 and 29.

Next stop will be Central Luzon to showcase the best of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales. Carinderia owners and home cooks will be gathered at the Laus Events Center in July.

I hope to join one of the legs of Buhay Carinderia and rediscover the great Filipino eatery we have.
