Year of The Pig Starbucks Collectibles

Starbucks Year of the Pig Mug

I received a cute ceramic mug from Starbucks Philippines a few weeks ago. Too cute, it sparked joy I cannot wait to use it. Most of my tumblers are kept and displayed, I just choose the ones I like the most and that includes the Year of the Pig ceramic mug.

In Chinese culture, the pig is a symbol of wealth and luck, and this year, the lucky Pig is sharing its fortune and promising success to everyone.

The Year of the Pig ceramic mug and all other Starbucks mugs are not just for coffee. I can have hot porridge or cold cereals, even our favorite snacks like chicharon from Bulacan. Our choice of Starbucks mugs and tumblers also reflect our mood and personality. Before, I would love the classic designs but now I am delighted to have those that have floral and colorful designs.

Starbucks released its Lunar New Year Collection complete with tumblers and mugs designed with cute pig drawings in detailed water color texture and floral elements in pink, red and yellow palettes. Even the Starbucks Bearista gets a porky make-over, dressed up in a cute pig outfit.

Starbucks is also offering a special Year of the Pig Card with a warm colored  illustration of the smiley zodiac sign, surrounded by blossoming flowers in red and yellow colors. The card is available for an initial activation of P300.

With the pig as the last zodiac in the 12-year cycle, Starbucks is also launching a limited edition Chinese Zodiac Demi Set complete with all the zodiac signs, perfect for collecting or gifting. Housed inside a premium red and gold box, the set includes Lunar New Year mugs from 2008 to 2019 in demitasse size. The entire set is available starting February 1 in all stores for P5,495.

I hope to get the Starbucks Pig Coin bank. They are available in select stores as per Starbucks Fan Page - Baguio, Tagaytay, Laguna, Valenzuela, (Stock availability may vary), SM Baguio, Camp John Hay, SM Batangas, SM City Calamba G/F, Baguio Technohub Camp John Hay, Calamba Road – Tagaytay, Summit Ridge Tagaytay L1, Solenad Nuvali Sta. Rosa, Solenad 3 Nuvali, SM City Sta. Rosa G/F, SM Valenzuela G/F and Southwoods Mall.

Have you started collecting these the Lunar New Year collectibles at your nearest Starbucks
