Weekend Destinations Near Metro Manila

Planning a short getaway outside Metro Manila is possible. Destinations such as Batangas, Rizal, Bataan, La Union, and Zambales are just a few hours road trip from Manila. We can go for a two-three days trip for the long weekend and come back the night before reporting to work. These places offer activities that suit different interests, all reachable in just a matter of hours.

Batangas

Just a two-hour drive away from Manila, Batangas is one of the go-to destinations for people wanting to escape the city, thanks to its numerous beaches. Apart from its stunning coast, Batangas is also known as the home of the popular Taal Volcano, one of the popular active volcanoes in the Philippines. For non-beachgoers, Batangas offers a good amount of hiking spots perfect for thrill seekers looking for their next adventure.

🏡 Happy to be back at @terraverdeecofarm. It's been 3 years since my first visit. The place is cozy, relaxing. I enjoyed the cool weather, fresh air and best of all all #organicfood! . They welcomed us with Filipino delicacies, #palitaw, puto and bibingkoy (a famous delicacy in Cavite ). The potato croquettes are yummy as well. They also served with healthy kamote juice, refreshing! The salad was my favorite served with tasty dressing made or #herbs and olive oil.☘ . This is just another fun #travel with #OABloggerAko. Thanks @atiinteractive for inviting me once again. I learned so much about #organicfarming. #IShareKnowledge . . . https://www.livingmarjorney.com/2016/10/terra-verde-ecofarm-cavite.html #ATIinspire #ATIFotos #Travel #Farm #EdibleLandscaping #Farming #Leisure #FoodGram #AroundTheWorld #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippineFarms #Calabarzon

A three-hour drive away from Manila, Zambales is home to a number of jaw-dropping beaches that serve as great diving spots in west Luzon. The province of Zambales is also home to a few historical sites in the country, including the Ramon Magsaysay Ancestral House. There’s also the great Mount Pinatubo, which erupted in 1991 and changed the landscape forever.
