Roboto San Japanese Grill-Buffet at BGC

Robotosan at Bonifacio Global CityRoboto San’s Buffet Table

Have you dine at Sumosam, John and Yoko and Mr. Kurosawa? How about at the newly opened Japanese buffet-style grill named Roboto San located at Bonifacio Global City brought to us by same group behind the restaurants I mentioned earlier.

The nice minimalist interior, robots printed on chairs and staff in white uniform defines its theme. It’s like dining inside a spacecraft!

Food are arranged in one table shaped like a boat. On the other corner you’ll find soup, salad and other appetizers. There’s a separate section for dessert!

You’ll find raw meat including Korean BBQ and short ribs on half of the buffet table. The rest of the dishes (ready buffet) such as the vegetables, tonkatsu, tempura, pandan chicken and some beef and pork dishes are on the other side.

I seldom had ramen or noodles, primarily because most ramen are served in huge bowl which I cannot consume. Today, I had a small serving which I personally prepared. I got few strips of carrots, mushroom and boiled egg for ramen. It taste good, sooo flavorful!

Of course there’s the Maki, onigiri, sushi and dumpling!

I enjoyed grilling! We had few pieces of shrimp, yakitori and Korean bbq.

Dessert Corner – From the selection, I had more than one serving of silvanas, it was good! I also recommend the sans rival. There are mini cakes too in different flavors.

I suggest you try Roboto San with its location (BGC) I can say the price is competitive. The location is just beside a familiar coffee shop and few food establishment. Going there, you could take “The Fort Bus” with terminal at Ayala near MRT station then alight at St. Luke’s Hospital. From there, it’s just a few blocks away.

The children’s robot printed on every chair is something to talk about. We’ve got to bring back the memories of our childhood. How can I forget afternoons of Voltes 5!

Dinner at Robotosan with Jonel

Something to remember: The price differs during lunch and dinner. We tried Roboto San on both schedules; I find less dishes in the morning compared at night. Also, my favorite silvanas were missing during lunch even the “do-it-yourself” ramen. The mini cakes, ice cream, sans rival and miso soup are available though.

The cost of branded medicine continues to increase. Thanks to Generic Medicines which are priced cheaper than the branded ones. For the past three years I've been using generic drugs  and found it effective and in good quality. I frequently purchase paracetamol, carboceisteine for cough and other pain relievers.

Lopez Museum’s “BEAT” Exhibition

Weary, tired, exhausted. This word could also mean striking repeatedly or to act with violence. The rhythm is the beat. Our heart beats 60-80 per minute. When Michael Jackson says “beat it” in his song, what does he mean?

Last year I attended the press conference of the  2nd ELEMENTS Singing-Songwriting National Camp, it was the first time I met  music maestro Ryan Cayabyab. After the press con, media and bloggers were invited to participate in singing with Ryan Cayabyab playing the piano. I never sing in front of a crowd until that day! It was fun, a once in a lifetime experience! I sung Panalangin, one of the greatest hits of the popular group APO Hiking Society.

For an OFW, “There’s No Place Like Home”

No comments:

“There’s no place like home” says our dear OFW.

It was on my 3rd year working as a full time Staff Nurse in a government hospital when I realized I want to work abroad. Not having so many reasons except for greater income and to experience what it is working in a different set up with more sophisticated equipment yet handling the same cases.

For OFW, “There’s No Place Like Home”
