Review: Native Union POP Phone Retro Neon Orange

Getting a landline has never been a priority since we have enough mobile phones at home.

Currently, I'm using two (2) phones - a smartphone and a basic phone which is just intended for texting and calling my husband. My phones suit me so I wonder why I should get a landline. But there were times I need to do things simultaneously like cooking and preparing meals when trying to talk on the phone at the same time. It's hard and uncomfortable holding a tiny phone between my ear and shoulder. If you're not careful, you might drop it on the food you're preparing!

About two weeks ago I received, a pretty neon orange POP phone from Native Union. I was excited to try it so I immediately grab hubby's Samsung Galaxy Mega and start testing the handset.

I found a lot of reasons to love the Native Union POP phone. First, using a POP phone prevents from accidentally hitting any buttons while making a call which happens most of the time.

Second, cellular phones heats up when used for a long time and I believe it's not a good idea to keep it too close on our face/ears. It also eliminates too much absorbed phone radiation.

Third, it provides a traditional handset and makes phone calls easy and natural.

Fourth, the soft, rubberized, retro design adds fun and comfort in every use, great for grip!

The POP phone has a pick up and hang up button.

It comes with a 3.5 mm plug and works well with all devices from your laptops, tablets and smartphones.

The POP phones 'Retro' handset are available in a range of colors so you can easily find the one that suits you - neon orange, pink, blue, green, purple, red, aquamarine just to name a few; and retro neon yellow, green, pink and orange.

Sound quality is just fine. I guess if you're a frequent Skype user, then this handset is perfect for you!

How I wish I had this Retro POP phone on my previous job, when I used to do online coaching and review preparing students for a state board exam. I also remember when I had these series of job interviews and we do it on Skype. Back then, we were using a local headset and encountered several problems like sound that were static and distorted.

Using Native Union POP Phone on Skype, I did not have any trouble hearing the other party. It was clear, voice quality is okay as well.

Aside from making calls, you can also listen to music. Finally, having a huge receiver connected to your iPhone or Samsung Note is just cool! You might want to a pretty POP 'retro' neon handset on your next OOTD!

So, if you're always multi-tasking with your tiny phone, perhaps you should get a genuine Native Union POP phone!
