My parents taught me how to do household chores including cooking. At an early age, I can cook rice and simple dishes. Today some of my favorite dishes to cook are Beef stew, beef estofado, chicken menudo, pork sinigang, sauteed veggie, monggo on Fridays. I also love to cook pasta dishes. But I still have to learn the secrets in perfecting Pinoy adobo and those that uses coconut like curry and the famous dish from Bicol region, laing.

This year, I wanted to spend more time in the kitchen and create new recipes. Perhaps start baking and make my own pandesal.

Cooking can be challenging but rewarding. I understand others who settle on canned food, ready-to-eat, microwaveable meals or fast food. We also eat those but not all the time knowing that canned goods are high in preservatives and sodium that's not healthy for the body. While most fast food meals are fried and too oily may cause a serious heart problem.

I make time to prepare nutritious, hearty and healthy meal for me and my husband.

2. It preserves valued vitamins and nutrients.
3. Food steamers are easy to use just like this Eureka Electric Food Steamer with high capacity of 5 liters.
4. Food preparation is quick and simple. Less ingredients such as oil or butter.

My sesame soy chicken tastes good, the chicken meat is tender. Sesame Soy Chicken is best served with ginger and chili sauce. The manual says you may steam chicken for 20 minutes but I cooked sliced chicken for 40 minutes. Cooking time becomes shorter when you prevent from opening the lid. I plan to make steamed siopao and siomai for Chinese New Year 2019. Truly, Eureka makes life more comfortable by offering a wide range of home and kitchen appliances that suits our family needs.

After care of Eureka Food Steamer is easy using water and mild dish washing soap. I strongly suggest to avoid detergent bar in washing the dishes.

Do you have other steamed recipes you would like to share? How about making puto or rice cake? Don't let all the efforts of dieting, exercise moved into waste by eating unhealthy food. Learn to prepare your meals at home, you can do it by batch and properly store in the fridge. We can do a lot of healthy and yummy recipes with Eureka Food Steamer.
